Since the release of FruityLoops Studio 9, I've gotten really into it. The channels sound amazing, and a lot of the features are great. I promised myself that, when I got it, I would make real efforts with the best samples I could.
The result: [Fallen On Mist]
This is my first true ambient piece, with a small bit of classical entwined. It took me the better part of five days to complete it, include the latest update for remastering. This song has surpassed my goal of a full, four-minute piece, and I consider it even greater than my [Trials] series - something even I didn't see coming. It means that I've reached a new high, one that I cannot simply label within a series of gold.
Does this mean I'll focus more on ambience in my music? It might. It comes easy to me, somehow. I still intend to keep composing for my Ikusa game series - on that note, I still intend to make the damn games - and for a hobby.
