Wouldn't this be just perfect for a sci-fi scenario? I'm picturing a fancy ball with a man and his wife, enjoying the night and the dancing. As the scene goes on, things start to get fragmented - he sees things start to crack and splinter, but only at the edge of his vision. However, it isn't long until the entire ballroom starts to shake apart, until finally he's forced to wake. It's then we learn that he was in an illusion pod, reliving a memory of his departed wife.

In short: tragic beauty. I love it.

Interesting, I like it. I can't think up any specific scenarios when I write music, just general moods, so it's nice to read this type of comment.

Obligatory 5.

There's still a bit of white stuff left...right....there...

Leoshi!!!!

Wow i'm so glad you're there :)

I give you top marks just because you're you.

This sounds like it belongs in a platform game...like Crash Bandicoot! Dr. Neo Cortex's lab levels would have been even creepier, yet just as driving, with this in the background!

hopeku responds:

Haha that would be awesome man!

Really great tune all around, though it begs for some more advanced samples. I like it. Mind if I use it as part of the soundtrack to an RPG I'm making?

Fuzzy-L0g1c responds:

Sure, as long you give credit. :)

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more exposure (not that I'm any expert on that). While this certainly wasn't what I had in mind when I arrived, it's a pleasant surprise. I've always been a sucker for tunes that can tell me a story. I'm not at all familiar with the works of those you've named, so I cannot connect your homage to them - whether that's a good or bad thing, I leave at your discretion, because I'm forced to believe this tune to be your own inspiration.

Oddly enough, I love how it sounds with the air of grain above everything. Gives a proper sense of revisiting memories, good and bad. You've done a great job with this, even if it's not what people expect when searching for "final dungeon." Definitely a keeper.

Thank you for the story.

FaeryTaleAdventurer responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I understand not everyone understands the references I ramble on about; I often do like to be open about things that inspire my work, even if no one's hear of them.

Thanks for your review!

Simplicity at its best.

This shows that not everything needs to be so full of everything under the sun to be kickass. Wonderful drive. This is my fifth time through, and still isn't old.

OfficialRoflMonster responds:

Thanks for the feedback man. I'm still gonna make more like this so yeah. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

There's something about this.

Something about this one makes me want to call up a long-lost friend just to see how they're doing. Roofie, I must say, this piece of yours has impressed me far more than any other tune you've made. I'm absolutely loving the chord progression and atmosphere in this one. When you get around to owning some better-quality samples, I think this should be the first to be enhanced - it has potential to be a stunning work of art.

10/10, 5/5, immediate favorite and download. Thank you for this.

Very calming

This isn't a tune I was expecting to hear today, mainly because the day was kind of stressful. This is wonderfully relaxing. I can't get enough of the guitar and strings. The piano, I'll admit, could do with a better sounding sample, but the melody...oh, that melody! This is glorious.

Absolutely glorious

I can't get over the beautiful atmosphere in this entire piece. The beginning and ending were PERFECT, and I fell in love with the moving strings at 2:40 and beyond. I just put this on my personal playlist. :)

I do have a question for you though. I am making a small game series in my spare time (non-flash), and am planning a few video teasers and trailers. Would it be alright if I used this piece in one of them? It'd go on youtube, and I'll happily provide this NG link.

Anyway, in short, this is both beautiful and deliciously suspenseful. I absolutely love it.

MrMusicalLion responds:

It would be totally fine for you to use this! ^_^ Thanks for asking, good luck with the projects! :D Thanks for the totally awesome review; Glad you enjoyed it! -musical mastermind at your service- :P
